This large Torah cover was made in America in the early 60’s. It has a tremendous amount of metallic thread. The front of the cover says in Hebrew “Beit Shalom”. It was dedicated in the synagogue in 1963. It is purple velvet and is rather heavy. There are grape crystal decorative beads running around the top of the Torah cover. It has gold-threaded embellished small flowers in a pattern at the bottom. The inside is lined in pink silk. The presenters’ names are embroidered on the inside of the Torah cover. The top of the cover has become detached from the cloth. The top measures 13 1/4″ across x 7 1/2″ wide. The height of the cover is 29. Guaranteed authentic and reasonably priced.
